Team

The south

is at our core.

Owners Pat & Missy Carloss are both originally from the South. Pat was born and raised in Abbeville, Louisiana and Missy in Memphis, Tennessee. The two met in the early 90's in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In 1995, Pat & Missy relocated to Whitefish, started a family, and opened a small bistro called Tupelo Grille. In the twenty-two years since, Tupelo has undergone three major expansions to evolve into the concept and space that it is today. Despite being an hour from the Canadian border, β€œThe South is still at our core,” Pat says.

Director of Operations Paul Abu-Taleb is a Chicago native. Paul comes from a family with a long history in the restaurant business and has spent his career working in hospitality, running restaurants in Chicago before moving to Whitefish in August of 2015. Paul oversees operations for all restaurants in the group.

Sous Chef Justin Richardson is the man behind the line. A California native, Justin has worked his way up the ladder at The Tupelo to become Sous Chef and puts his stamp on our nightly fish special.

Above all else, we are blessed with The Staff at Tupelo. Our team takes tremendous pride in our service, product, and space, and it shows.  The combined tenure of our dining room staff alone exceeds 100 years between eleven servers. At Tupelo, you'll receive genuine, professional, and attentive service, along with our personalities. We are lucky to have a staff, top-to-bottom, front of house to back of house, that is filled with hard-working, fun-loving, and positively hilarious people. We'd like to say thank you to our team of nearly fifty members that works tirelessly to deliver The Tupelo experience every day.
